Who we are:
We are Oakland county Republicans who are knit together by our belief in God and the traditional values upon which this nation, and the Republican party, was established. We believe that we can and should influence the local Republican political and cultural landscape by actively participating in various events and activities. By essentially being “salt and light”, we attempt to positively influence, encourage and support the pro-family, pro-life and pro-traditional marriage precepts of the Republican party.
What we believe:
Our mission is to support the election of Republican candidates to city, county, state and federal offices who support, espouse and promote the following principles:
- The traditional family is the foundation of a civil society
- The definition of marriage as “one man – one woman”
- Unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as stated in
the Declaration of Independence.
- Life begins at conception, and pro-life legislation
- Strict interpretation of the Constitution
- Reduced government involvement and increased individual initiative and
self-reliance
- Affirmation of the founding fathers’ belief in God
- Reduction of the tax burden on individual citizens and businesses
- Pro-business economic strategy
What we do:
We have periodical meetings to inform and encourage other conservative Republicans and have fun doing it. In the first five years of our existence, we have hosted many speakers such as:
- GOP Michigan national committeeman Keith Butler
- American Family Association of Michigan president and GOP conservative
activist Gary Glenn
- Michigan Secretary of State, Terri Lynn Land
- Radio talk show host Bob Dutko from WMUZ (FM 103.5)
